The season is underway!

Prospect/Wheeling started the season off with an 8-6 win over Hoffman Estates on Monday night. Early reports were that the game was within one heading into the homestretch, but the Wild Knights were able to pull away despite a solid effort in goal by Hawks' netminder Jim Ashbrook. Andrew Bengsten had a great game for Prospect/Wheeling and led them to the season opening victory.

Still waiting for word on the two other games scheduled for this evening. After that, the season gets rolling with 14 boys games and 15 girls games on Tuesday night. Oak Park vs Lyons (boys and girls games) appears to be the big WSC matchup for the evening, while the #11 Latin girls play at #1 Fenwick and in a huge early season game, #2 Stevenson takes on #3 Mother McAuley in Lincolnshire at 5:00pm.

I really love this blog. Easy to frequent notes from anywhere without having to jump through hoops, so I hope everyone is getting used to it.
